Dreamscape

Still refining this one. Slowing the pace to get meticulous with subtle features. Really teaches me, how even minute shift in value or hatching density (spots of white paper) can dramatically influence our perception. Also playing with "uncanny valley" effect here. I like the idea of picture being a "polaroid" of a dream. Think of getting it further.

Nose and ears are my my weakest areas. Despite me having done quite good cast studies of facial parts in Academy of Arts, I still shied away from putting enough effort into rendering these, leaving them at the stage, where imagination automatically filled the missing bits in. That's why we need to train our eyes to see what's actually there instead of what we want there to be.

Getting this blob into shape.

Tactile joy of pen drawing
